Selma stars; David Oyelowo & Carmen Ejogo’s home coming for Lagos Movie Premiere.

On Sunday 8th of February, David Oyelowo and Carmen Ejogo will Grace the Red Carpets of the Lagos Premiere of the award winning movie, Selma at the Rock Cathedral, Lekki Lagos. The Movie, Co produced by Oprah Winfrey who also starred in the film will be premiering in Africa for the first time at the Rock Cathedral, Lagos, Nigeria. 

The Event as many speculate, will serve as a homecoming gala for both stars who share Nigerian origin. David’s parents are Nigerians who live in the UK while Carmen is born to a Nigerian Father and a Scottish mother both of UK Nationality as well. 

The Lagos premiere is Hosted by the Rock Foundation of the House on The Rock Church and the United States High Commission in Nigeria.

In a statement, the senior pastor of House on the Rock church, Paul Adefarasin said “Peace and harmony is important to us all. Regardless of our ethnicity, religion or political persuasion, our country Nigeria must remain united and peaceful. This is why House on The Rock Church, positioned as a centre for Social Justice and Equity has decided to bring people from various classes in the Nigerian society together for a remarkable event where we can all stand united for peace at a time like this. We also seek to remind individuals with the Selma movie premiere event that regardless of any differences or grievances we may have, violence is not the answer, thus non-violence must continually be our stance.” 

Adefarasin further stated the need for the Church to be the voice of reason promoting non-violence in the times leading to elections and beyond stressing that ‘’the pulpit of God is not for partisan politics but for promoting the Kingdom of God”. 

Among Oyelowo’s co-stars in the movie are Oprah Winfrey, Cuba Gooding Jr., Wendell Pierce, and as Coretta Scott King, Carmen Ejogo.

According to sources, The Lagos Premiere promises to Host Nigeria's Top Actors and Actresses from Nollywood, Top Music stars and A-List Celebrities from the Social, Media and Fashion scenes in Nigeria.

A father killed himself after seeing photos of his 18-year-old daughter posing unclad in Playboy magazine.

Loredana Chivu stri*ped off for the Romanian edition of Playboy magazine and when her father found out, he hit rock bottom and shunned her.

The curvaceous blonde said:

“He stopped speaking to me, he was pretty upset.When he found out what I had done he cut himself off from the world and tried to isolate me as well from the rest of the family.”I thought he would get over it and I never expected he would do something like kill himself.”

She had a close relationship with her father but said that changed once he saw the revealing photos.

When she went to reconcile with him a few months later, after deciding that the dispute had gone on long enough, she was horrified to find he had killed himself.

“I found him hanging from a beam in the attic,I never recovered from the shock of finding him.”She regrets never getting the chance to speak to him about their disagreement.

“He had not left a suicide note, and everybody said that up to the end he seemed cheerful, and it was a complete mystery as to why he would do something like this,” she said.“We had always been close and talked every day and suddenly that stopped after the photographs.“Even after all this time I find it hard to come up with words to talk about it, it is still too painful. I would not wish this on anyone,” she said.”One of the worst things is not knowing – he didn’t seem to have any pressing problems at the time apart from our argument and I never would have thought he was a weak man who would take his own life.”

According to City People, an Abeokuta-based Igbo lady, who works at the Federal Secretariat Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, in the Education Ministry, is in a 3-month pregnancy mess over a love affair with an Okada rider.

The Big Babe who is popularly known as Kelly drives a Honda Accord Bulldog and she lives in Japo area of Adigbe in Abeokuta. The highly sociable babe who speaks Yoruba fluently was posted from Abuja in 2012 to Abeokuta, where she met Azeez, an artisan who hustle with Okada.

City People reported that Kelly’s close associates noticed some time in 2014 that her closeness to Azeez was so obvious that he became a regular face in her home and he would usually sleep over at her place. Kelly who is a graduate did not see anything wrong in dating an Okada rider and she was telling anybody who cared to listen that she was going to get married to the guy as his second wife. 

Azeez is actually married and uses his Okada to hustle at night to sustain his family.

It was after 6 months and Kelly was already pregnant for him that her family members in Abuja got to know about the development and they (her family) quickly rushed down to Abeokuta to do deliverance for her and also stop her relationship with Azeez.
Kelly’s family members are of the opinion that she was charmed by Azeez and they warned the guy seriously never to come near her again. Kelly is angry that they are separate her from her boo. Lolz!
