President Goodluck Jonathan, has called on Nigerians
to make him their Valentine and choose wisely their preferred candidate
in the February polls.

Jonathan said this through the twitter handle of his special assistant on new media, Reno Omokri, @renoomokri, with the hashtag #GEJNigeriasVal, said his re-election will help lead youths to lead tomorrow.
The president’s tweets compared his achievements with that of his main contender in the coming presidential election Mohammadu Buhari, in the areas of education, youth development, women empowerment amongst others.
According to him, with free education he (Buhari) rose to the top to build prisons, but that he (Jonathan) had free education and rose to the top and built schools.
He said in the tweet, “They ruled your grandfather and your father. Now they want to rule you. Jonathan leads you so you can lead tomorrow. They tell you ‘I will change Nigeria’. Jonathan tells you ‘we will change Nigeria together’”. #GEJNigeriasVal
On women, the tweet reads “Women are equal partners under Jonathan. He believes in First Ladies not ‘Behind the Scene’ Ladies. #GEJNigeriasVal
He added that, “Youths are leaders of today under Jonathan. They are not leaders of a tomorrow that never comes. #GEJNigeriasVal”
The tweet further said, “While others banned the National Association of Nigerian Students, Jonathan promotes NANS and listens to them #GEJNigeriasVal”
“While others jailed musician Fela who sang for the masses, Jonathan appoints musicians like @OnwenuOnyeka into his government #GEJNigeriasVal
“While others raided Papa Awolowo’s house and seized his passport, Jonathan honoured Awolowo by naming a stadium after him #GEJNigeriasVal
